How to stay involved
The Development Consent Order application has been accepted by the Planning Inspectorate for examination. You can take part in the examination by registering as an interested party. Members of the public will need to fill out a registration form and make a Relevant Representation during the Relevant Representation period if they want to be an interested party and:
- have the right to send further comments and provide evidence during the examination of the application,
- have the right to request to speak at hearings,
- hear about events and decisions made during the process and
- hear about the progress of the application
A relevant representation should include full details of the any issues that you want to be considered as part of the examination. Representations must be submitted on a registration form and the form must be received by the deadline, 28 August 2025.

The application documents can be viewed:
- Online, or downloaded free of charge, from the Steeple Renewables Project page of the Planning Inspectorate’s National Infrastructure Planning website;
- On our Documents page; and
- Electronically free of charge during the relevant representation period at the local locations and times set out below:

Unable to get online?
A member of our team will be happy to arrange for copies of the consultation materials and printed feedback form to be sent in the post. We can also provide you with a downloaded copy of the PEIR on a USB stick free of charge. A hard copy of the Preliminary Environmental Information Report can be requested for a charge £0.35 per page to cover printing and posting costs. If you would like any documents in large print, audio, or braille please let us know.
